Ingredients to make Instant Badam Halwa

  • 100 grams /1 cup – Almonds/badam
  • 1.5 tbsp – Semolina/sooj
  • 5 tbsp – Ghee /Clarified butter
  • 1/2 cup – Sugar/chini
  • A pinch of – Saffron/kesar
  • 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder/elaichi
  • 1/2 cup – Milk
  • 1/2 cup – Water

Steps to make Instant Badam Halwa

  1. Grind the dry almonds in a mixer to make a powder.
  2. Heat the ghee in a heavy bottom pan.
  3. Add in semolina and fry till it becomes pink in color.
  4. Now add in the almond powder and stir on low heat till it gives a nice aroma.
  5. Next pour in the milk and water and cook, continue stirring to avoid lumps.
  6. When the water starts boiling add in the sugar and saffron.
  7. Cook till it starts to thicken and almost dries up.
  8. Add in cardamom powder and mix well. Serve hot.
