Ingredients to make Poppy Seeds Infused Pigeon Peas Fusion Tikkis

  • pigeon peas 250 gms
  • poppy seeds 20 gms
  • green chillies/ginger/garlic chopped 2 tsp
  • Boiled potatoes medium size 2
  • cornflour 2 Tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

How to make Poppy Seeds Infused Pigeon Peas Fusion Tikkis

  1. Soak poppy seeds overnight, Drain and grind to a coarse paste. Add all the chopped ingredients and salt to taste in the poppy mixture and keep aside.
  2. Peel the pigeon peas and crush to a thick paste, yes no water again.
  3. Add boiled potatoes, cornflour, salt and chopped ingredients. Mix the peas mixture and drain excess water if any.
  4. Now with the help of oil smeared hands makes small tikkis of pigeon peas mixture and fill the poppy mixture inside and seal the mixture well
  5. Then pan fry in vegetable oil and serve with tomato sauce or chutney of your choice

My Tip:

Try not adding water while crushing any of the mixture. It will help in making and filling the tikkis in a smoother way. Even if facing problem the only choice is to fry it instantly.
