Madlouaha (Lebanese Nights)

Ingredients to make Madlouaha (Lebanese Nights)

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut fresh
  • 2/3 cup semolina or rawa
  • 4 tbsp condensed milk
  • 200 ml sweetened amul cream or whipping cream
  • 2-3 drops of kewra essence
  • Chocolate syrup to drizzle
  • Chopped pistachios and tutti frutti for Garnishing

How to make Madlouaha (Lebanese Nights)

  1. Mix milk, semolina , shredded coconut in a wok and bring it to boil. Stir constantly till the mixture thickens (around 10-15 mins)
  2. Now add 4 Tbsp Condensed Milk and kewra essence to the wok and stir. Remove from flame.
  3. Grease a 20 cm round dish with a little refined oil. Immediately pour in the mixture and let it cool at room temperature.
  4. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Run a knife around the edges and then de-mould from the dish by inverting it upside down on a plate.
  5. Spread the sweetened whipped cream on the top of the pudding. Garnish with chopped Pistachios, tutti frutti and serve chilled drizzled with chocolate syrup.
