Ingredients to make Pan Grilled Chicken Tangdi....

  • chicken tangdi whole 14
  • Hung curd 1/2 cup
  • salt to taste
  • Tandoori masala 1 tbsp
  • chilli powder or green chilli paste a tbsp
  • cumin powder a tbsp
  • coriander powder a tbsp
  • Garam masala a tbsp
  • turmeric 1/2 a tsp
  • ginger garlic paste a tbsp
  • olive oil 5 tbsp
  • Sumac (Arabic spice 2 tbsp)
  • OR
  • lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Onions, whole green long chillies and bell peppers also to grill

How to make Pan Grilled Chicken Tangdi....

  1. Marinate the chicken with all the spices ,2 tablespoon oil and hung curd as well.
  2. Refrigerate it overnight for the best results.
  3. OR
  4. It requires a minimum of 2 hours to seep in the flavours and the chicken gets juicy and succulent.
  5. Just before grilling, sprinkle some dry parsley flakes.
  6. Arrange them in a double griller pan with the veggies too.
  7. Add about 2 to 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  8. Cover it and cook until done. It usually takes 30 minutes.
  9. Keep the flame medium and monitor it closely.
  10. Keep checking now and then.
  11. Flip the pan onto the other side lifting it up very carefully and taking care not to spill anything over you.
  12. Serve them hot with butter naans

My Tip:

Addition of fenugreek gives more flavour to the spinach. Giving the prepared batter a standing time of minimum 30 mins makes them soft, spongy and has melt in mouth texture. This is a must for these fritters.
