Puris soaked in reduced sweet milk

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Maida-1cup
  2. Salt-a pinch
  3. Water-1/4 cup
  4. Milk-1/2 litre
  5. Sugar-1/2 Cup
  6. Elachi powder-1tsp
  7. Saffron-5 to 6 strands
  8. Oil-for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add maida and salt and knead it to a smooth dough by adding water.
  2. Keep aside for sometime
  3. After 10 mins divide the dough into equal parts and make balls out of this
  4. Roll them into puris
  5. Deep fry them and keep it in a tissue paper to allow excess oil to drain
  6. Keep a non-stick pan and add milk and sugar in it and mix it well and let it boil
  7. The milk should be reduced to half the amount
  8. Add elachi powder and saffron strands soaked in milk and mix well
  9. To this milk add the fried puris one by one and allow it to soak in milk for few seconds
  10. Take it from the milk and arrange it in a plate and garnish it with sliced pistas
  11. Yummy Paal boli is ready to serve
  12. It is an excellent dessert
