Broad Beans (Samefali) Stuffed Pakoda

Ingredients to make Broad Beans (Samefali) Stuffed Pakoda

  • Samefali (Broad/flat beans) 6-8 crisp
  • oil for deep frying
  • For stuffing -
  • 1 cup mashed potato
  • 1 tbsp roasted ground peanuts
  • 1/2 tbsp roasted ground sesame seeds
  • Hing, jeera powder, red chilli powder, amchur powder - 1 tsp each
  • 1 tbsp chopped green coriander
  • 1 tsp green chilli paste
  • 1 tsp Grated ginger
  • salt to taste
  • For batter -
  • 1 cup besan ( gramflour),
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi powder
  • 2 tsp oil
  • salt to taste

How to make Broad Beans (Samefali) Stuffed Pakoda

  1. Mix all ingredients of stuffing together
  2. Mix all ingredients of batter separately using required water, mix well and keep aside
  3. Open samefali from one side carefully. Stuff all samefalis
  4. Heat sufficient oil for frying in a wok on medium high flame. dip stuffed samefali in batter and fry till golden brown
  5. Serve with sauce

My Tip:

Remove the strings from all samefalis. Do not deseed them. For deep frying use mustard oil.it gives a better taste
