Carrot and Peanut Raita

Ingredients to make Carrot and Peanut Raita

  • carrots-.4
  • peanuts-1tbsp
  • curd-3 cup
  • rock salt as per taste
  • jeera powder - 1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powder-1/2 sp
  • Whole jeera-1/2 sp
  • hing powder- a pinch
  • Green chilli -1
  • curry leaves - 5-6
  • oil - 1/2 tsp

How to make Carrot and Peanut Raita

  1. Take curd in a bowl.
  2. Beat it properly.
  3. Peel and wash carrots.
  4. Grate carrots in a separate bowl.
  5. Add salt, jeera powder, red chilli powder in curd. Mix well.
  6. Add grated carrot.
  7. Take peanuts and roast them without oil or ghee.
  8. Let them cool.
  9. Now take out the skin of peanuts by rubbing them in between hands.
  10. Crush them coarsely
  11. Add peanuts in curd.
  12. Mix all .
  13. Now make a tadka of green chilli, while jeera and curry leaves in 1/2 tsp of oil.
  14. Add this tadka into your raita.
  15. Enjoy this yummy raita.

My Tip:

If you want, you can add peeled and chopped tomatoes.
