Narangi Chicken With Herbed Rice

Ingredients to make Narangi Chicken With Herbed Rice

  • 2 chicken breast whole
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 4 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons tomato puree
  • half litre orange juice
  • 1 Large onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 4 to 5 pepper corns
  • 2 laung
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon chilly flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

How to make Narangi Chicken With Herbed Rice

  1. marinate chicken breasts with some oil salt and black pepper powder for half to one hour
  2. heat oil in a pan , add pepper corns, bay leaves and cinnamon stick, sauté garlic and onion in it
  3. add tomato puree and cook for few minutes
  4. after some time remove bay leaves from it
  5. also remove cinnamon stick and switch off the gas
  6. let the masala cool for few minutes
  7. now in a mixer grinder make a puree of that masala
  8. make a smooth paste
  9. strain it in the pan
  10. add orange juice in it and simmer the gas after one boil
  11. slowly cook till the juice reduce
  12. add salt, paprika and chilly flakes in it
  13. cook till it becomes in semi gravy
  14. we can add some corn starch mix with cold water in it to make a thick gravy
  15. now take some oil in a pan
  16. take marinated chicken breast, dip in beaten egg and coated it in flour, shallow fry the chicken breast and nicely cut in pieces
  17. for herbed rice
  18. boil one cup rice with some salt
  19. strain these rice in a strainer
  20. in a pan sauté some chopped garlic add some dry and fresh herbs, add cooked rice and mix it nicely
  21. for plating
  22. pour the orange gravy in a deep plate, place the herbed rice in the center of the plate and put the cooked chicken breast pieces on the top of rice and pour some orange gravy on it
  23. serve hot

My Tip:

We can use fresh juice or canned orange juice
