Ingredients to make Money Bag!

  • For the Stuffing:
  • Boiled chopped carrots - 1/4 cup
  • Boiled green peas - 1/4 cup
  • potatoes boiled & mashed - 2
  • salt as per taste
  • Garam masala - 1 tsp
  • Grated cheese - 1 Tbsp
  • dry mango powder - ½ tsp
  • chilli/ginger/garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
  • For dough: wheat atta - 3/4 cup
  • maida - 1/4 cup
  • 1 tsb - ghee
  • 1/4 tsp - red food colour
  • salt to taste

How to make Money Bag!

  1. Mix all the vegetables, potato & cheese. Add all the masalas, mix well, the stuffing is ready.
  2. For the dough: Mix it well & make dough like puri dough (make dough in two part (3/4 & 1/4). In 1/4 dough add red colour.
  3. In the ¾ part of the dough kneed properly & roll 8 puris & from 1/4 red dough make 8 long dori to tie the bag.
  4. Now in the puri put one spoon stuffing making it in potli from that (as shown in pic) & then tie red dori and fix it well.
  5. Make all 8 money bag like this & then deep fry on very slow flame carefully. Your money bag is ready. Serve hot with tomato ketchup & green chutney.
