  1. 7 sweet ripe kinnu
  2. 1 liter whole milk
  3. 1/2 cup sugar
  4. 1/4 cup basmati rice
  5. 1 tsp jelly crystals
  6. 1/4 cup water
  7. 10 almonds soaked
  8. Chopped pista and kinnu pieces for decoration

Instructions

  1. First wash and rinse rice . After that dry on a towel for 30 mins. Now grind it like rava.
  2. In mean time scoop out kinnu . seive the kinnu pulp. Reserve kinnu shells for using later
  3. Mix 1/4 c sugar in pulp and juice in a pan and keep on gas on low flame.

  5. In the other pan boil milk and add rice and 1/4 c sugar. Keep stirring. It will take 30-40 minutes for making firni.

  7. In a pan take 1/4 cup juice for making kinnu jelly. Warm it and add jelly crystals in it. When the pulp is cooked and reduced to half add this jelly mixture in it. Let the jelly set

  9. When firni and jelly comes to room temperature, mix well. Add chopped almonds also.

  11. Now pour the mixture in kinnu shells. Decorate with pista pieces and a kinnu piece. Keep in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Serve chilled
