Ingredients to make Besan Cornflakes Nankhatai

  • 2 cups - Thick gram/chickpea flour
  • 1/2 cup-cornflakes powder (grind 1 cup cornflakes to powder)
  • 3 tbsp- sugar powder (more or less depending on your sweet tooth)
  • 2 tbsp- clarified butter/ghee
  • 2 tbsp- olive oil
  • 2 tbsp- milk or more if the dough feels dry
  • 1 tsp- baking powder
  • almonds or nuts of your choice for garnishing

How to make Besan Cornflakes Nankhatai

  1. Preheat oven or microwave convection at 180 degrees C for 10 minutes.
  2. Mix chickpea flour and powdered cornflakes.
  3. Add baking powder.
  4. Mix with olive oil, clarified butter, cardamom powder, sugar, and milk.
  5. Gather all the ingredients. Do not knead. Add little more milk if the dough doesn't bind properly.
  6. Make lemon sized balls and decorate with almond flakes.
  7. Place cookies on a baking tray at an even distance.
  8. Bake for 15 mins at 180 degrees C.
  9. Take them out on a cooling rack.
  10. Enjoy with a hot cup of tea.
