Very simple and easy prawn dish

  1. 12 medium sized prawns
  2. 20 ml refined sunflower oil
  3. 20 ml dry red wine
  4. 10 gms shrimp powder
  5. A pinch of saffron
  6. 20 gms paprika
  7. 20 ml lemon juice
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 30 gms chopped onion – fried golden
  10. 30 gms chopped garlic – fried golden

Instructions

  1. In a round bowl, mix paprika powder, red wine, shrimp powder, saffron, salt and vegetable oil and whisk well.
  2. Add fried onions and fried garlic. Check seasoning.
  3. Peel, de-vein and clean prawns. Add lemon juice. Marinate for 45 minutes.
  4. Grill over moderate charcoal fire and serve hot with a medium spice dip.
