Ingredients to make Cranberry Pistachio Bar

  • For the crackers - 1 cup maida
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 pinch baking powder
  • Other Ingredients - 1 cup chopped cranberries
  • 1/2 cup pistachios
  • 300 grams white chocolate
  • butter 8 tbsp
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar

How to make Cranberry Pistachio Bar

  1. In a plate add salt, baking powder, and butter to the Maida flour. Mix to form a crumbly texture . Slowly mix milk as required to form the dough . Let it rest for 20 mins.
  2. Roll into thin sheets, cut into squares . Bake in a preheated oven for 12 to 13 mins at 180 degrees C or until light golden colour . Cool on the rack.
  3. Line a square tin with foil paper. Place the crackers in a line next to each other to fill the tin .
  4. In a pan heat butter and light brown sugar till the sugar melts and caramelizes . Pour this mixture onto the layers crackers.
  5. Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler .Cool it a little and pour onto the crackers as the second layer .
  6. Sprinkle the chopped cranberries and pistachio onto the white chocolate layer Let this set for 2 hrs and then break into barks.
