Spicy Chicken Curry

Ingredients to make Spicy Chicken Curry

  • chicken pieces with bones 500gm
  • onion paste 1/2 cup
  • tomato paste 1/4 cup
  • ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • green chilly paste 1 tsp
  • onion slices 1 cup
  • tomato slices 1/4 cup
  • red chilly powder 1tbsp
  • cumin seed powder 1 tsp
  • coriander seed powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  • oil 3 tbsp
  • water

How to make Spicy Chicken Curry

  1. Wash chicken take in a bowl marinate with salt, 1 tsp ginger & garlic paste, keep aside for 15 minutes
  2. Make onion paste & tomato paste separately
  3. Cut onion & Tomato in slices
  4. Take a deep kadai add oil then add tomato slices saute 5 to 6 mins then add onion slices and saute till light brown in colour
  5. Now add onion , tomato, ginger & garlic, green chilly paste, salt & turmeric powder mix well & cook on low flame for 10 minutes
  6. After 10 minutes oil will separate. Add red chilly powder, cumin seeds powder, coriander seeds powder, garam masala, adjust salt to taste and mix well in the gravy
  7. Now add marinated chicken mix well in masalas. add hot water to make gravy. Keep lid on kadai, on medium flame 10 to 15 minutes till chicken cooks
  8. Add some chopped coriander leaves and turn off the heat
  9. Serve hot with roti, bhakri, naan, breads, rice

My Tip:

This is a simple tangy and spicy curry. You can also prepare it with mutton
