Ingredients to make Eggless Chocolate Cupcakes

  • all purpose flour/maida - 1 1/2 cup
  • powdered sugar - 1 cup
  • cocoa powder - 5tbsp+1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • oilve oil - 1/2 cup
  • warm water - 1 cup
  • vinegar - 1 tbsp
  • vanilla essence - 1 tsp
  • choco chips

How to make Eggless Chocolate Cupcakes

  1. 1. Pre-heat the oven at 180c. Line the silicon cups with cupcake liners.
  2. 2. In a bowl, sift all purpose flour, sugar, salt and cocoa powder. Mix well and keep aside. In another bowl mix oil, water and essence.
  3. 3. Add the dry ingredients to the liquid and beat well.
  4. 4. In a cup, mix vinegar and baking soda. Add to the batter. Mix well.
  5. 5. Spoon the batter equally in the silicon cups. Sprinkle the Choco chips over the batter.
  6. 6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or till done. Insert a toothpick and check for doneness.
  7. 7. Let the cupcakes cool on the wire rack. Serve with ice-cream or indulge in this sinful dessert just like that.

My Tip:

NOTES - 1. Do not over mix the batter or the cupcakes will be dense, will not rise well and will stick to the side of your mouth. 2. You can use butter or refined oil also 3. Omit cocoa powder if you want the normal vanilla cupcakes 4. Add the vinegar – soda mixture as soon as it reacts. 5. If you want, you can add a handful of Choco chips to the batter as well before spooning them.
