Zebra Cake

Ingredients to make Zebra Cake

  • all purpose flour 11/2 cup
  • Castor sugar 1 cup
  • baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • yoghurt 1/2 cup
  • oil 1/2 cup
  • Milk 1/2 cup
  • Dry fruits chopped 2 tablespoon
  • Tuti fruity 1 tablespoon
  • Cocoa powder 2 tablespoon
  • Vanilla essence 1/2 teaspoon

How to make Zebra Cake

  1. Sieve all the dry ingredients together (except cocoa powder). Put it in a bowl.
  2. Add yoghurt, oil and milk to it. Mix it to a smooth batter.
  3. Divide the batter into two portions.
  4. To one portion, add vanilla essence and dry fruits.
  5. Pre-heat the microwave.
  6. Grease the baking tray with a little oil or ghee and pour the vanilla batter to it.
  7. Microwave for two minutes.
  8. In the meantime, sieve the cocoa powder and put it in the other batter.
  9. Remove the half baked cake from the microwave and pour the cocoa batter over it.
  10. Microwave for five to six minutes until it is done. A knife pierced should come out clean.
  11. Keep it on the rack for ten minutes.
  12. Later, slowly remove from edges and tilt it to a plate. Cut in desires shape.

My Tip:

I have used microwave + convection mode for baking.
