ABOUT Whole Wheat Banana Cake RECIPE

A healthy cake using wheat flour and over ripe bananas.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 300 gms ripe/ over ripe bananas (mashed)
  2. 1 1/2 cups wholewheat flour
  3. 1 tsp Baking powder
  4. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  5. 1 pinch salt
  6. 100 gms sugar (powdered)
  7. 2/3 cup oil
  8. 1 tsp vanilla essence
  9. 2-3 tbs chopped cashewnuts
  10. 1 tbs chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a bowl take the mashed bananas and add sugar, vanilla and oil and mix well till sugar dissolves.
  2. Sieve the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt into it.
  3. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Add the chopped nuts and fold.
  4. Pour into a greased tin. Tap on the counter and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Bake at 180 degrees C for 45 – 50 mins.
