Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Mushrooms - 2 cups, quartered
  2. Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  3. Ghee - 2 tsp
  4. Salt
  5. For Masala Paste:
  6. Dry chillies - 4
  7. Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
  8. Jeera - 1 tsp
  9. Pepper - 1/2 tsp
  10. Fennel - 1/2 tsp
  11. Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
  12. Cinnamon - 1" piece
  13. Tamarind - marble sized ball or half tsp

Instructions

  1. Grind all ingredients under masala to a fine paste, add a little water. Keep aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan. When its smoking hot, add the mushrooms.
  3. Cook on high flame for a little while till they are slightly brown. Add ginger garlic paste, then lower the flame and let the mushrooms cook a bit.
  4. Add salt and the ground masala. Mix and cook till all water is absorbed and the paste looks dry. It will take about 5 minutes.
  5. Serve hot with chapathi or rice.
