ABOUT Mixed Flour Rotis RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ragi flour 100 gm
  2. Bajra flour 100 gm
  3. Wholewheat flour 100 gm
  4. Jowar flour 100 gms
  5. Grated carrot 1 medium
  6. Semi boiled potato grated 1
  7. Boiled and crushed Peas 1/2 cup
  8. Large onion cut in large pieces 1
  9. Green chillies 3-4
  10. Kadipatta (Curry leaves) 1 handful
  11. Jeera ( cumin seeds) 1/2 tsp
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Dhania ( coriander leaves) 1handful
  14. Curd 1-2 tbsp
  15. Oil for pan frying
  16. Banana leaf for patting the dough

Instructions

  1. Grind the onion, chillies, jeera and kadipatta coarsely. As the dhania and run the mixer for a short burst.
  2. Mix all the flours, salt and curd. Mix well.
  3. Add the ground masala, grated vegetables and knead with warm water into a soft dough.
  4. Apply oil on the banana leaf.
  5. Place a ball of the dough and press into a roti.
  6. Heat a tava. Put the banana leaf, dough side down on the hot tava. Remove the leaf and pour a tsp oil around the roti and cook with lid.
  7. Turn over and cook the other side.
  8. Serve hot with sauce or raita or chutney, as preferred
