ABOUT Authentic Christmas Cake RECIPE

Here is the original recipe of Christmas cake without rum. Loaded with fruits, We usually make these cakes in kgs. But here I am using a cup for measuring.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Maida- 2 cup
  2. Ghee or butter- 2 cup
  3. Eggs- 4
  4. Sugar- 2 cup
  5. Vanilla essence - 1 tbsp
  6. Caramelized brown sugar - 1 tbsp
  7. Mix dry fruits (cashew,almonds,raisins,walnuts)- 1cup
  8. Mix wet fruits( orange peel,cherries,tutti-fruity,candied ginger) - 1cup
  9. All spice mix- 1/2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Beat ghee or butter and sugar till it becomes creamy.
  2. Now start adding eggs one by one and keep mixing.
  3. Add vanilla essence and all spice mix.
  4. Add Maida and keep mixing.
  5. Now add all dry and wet fruits.
  6. Give a last mix to batter.
  7. Grease a pan and transfer batter.
  8. Bake it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C
  9. Enjoy your delicious cake.
