Ingredients to make Katori Chat With Pomegranate Seeds

  • all purpose flour 2 cup
  • salt to taste
  • Ajwain 1 tsp
  • Cold butter 1 tbsp
  • oil for Deep frying
  • Small katori for the shape
  • For the stuffing -
  • Boiled chana 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Green chutney 2 tbsp
  • tamarind chutney 2 tbsp
  • curd 1 cup
  • onion chopped 1 cup
  • tomato chopped 1 cup
  • chilli chopped 1
  • Sev and namkeen 1 tsp
  • pomegranate seeds 1 tbsp

How to make Katori Chat With Pomegranate Seeds

  1. In a wide bowl ,take the flour ,salt,ajwain,and cold butter .crumble well.
  2. Add water, slowly and knead a stiff dough .
  3. Dust well and roll out thin, using a katori ,press out the rounds ,greese the katoris that you want shape on ,press the cut circles on the katoris ,prick with fork all over the katoris,so that it doesn't puff up.
  4. Heat a kadai with oil .gentle drop the katoris in to the hot oil
  5. Cook on low flame ,till the katoris turn crispy ,remove on kitchen towel.
  6. Then again fry for a second time ,so that the katoris become crispy .
  7. Drain and store in an air container.
  8. Assemble the fried katoris on a plate .
  9. Add chana,onion,tomato ,chilli,green chutney,tamarind chutney ,curd top with sev and namkeen
  10. Serve
