Kheer Komola

Ingredients to make Kheer Komola

  • Full cream milk 2 litres
  • Condensed milk 2 cans
  • Fresh oranges 8 to 10
  • cardamom powder (optional)
  • Fresh orange juice 2 cups

How to make Kheer Komola

  1. Boil the milk and cook it till it reduces to half by stirring continuously.
  2. Peel oranges. chop and dessed them. Take out the transparent skin too. So all you will have is the pulp.
  3. Also keep the orange juice in the refrigerator until its chilled.
  4. Store the chopped oranges in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge.
  5. Add condensed milk to the milk and mix.
  6. Turn off the heat after 5 mins.
  7. Let the milk cool and put it in the fridge until it is chilled.
  8. Now, add the orange juice and chopped orange pulp into the milk and mix well. Remember, all the ingredients should be really chilled to avoid curdling of milk.
  9. Once again, keep the dessert in refrigerator for half an hour or overnight before serving.
  10. You can sprinkle some cardamom powder on top.

My Tip:

Add chilled orange juice and chilled orange pulp to the chilled milk to avoid curdling of milk.
