Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Roasted Sooji (rava) 1 cup
  2. Ghee 1/2 cup
  3. Sugar 3/4 cup
  4. Water 2 cups
  5. Raisins 1 handful
  6. Broken cashew 1 handful
  7. Apple cored, skinned and chopped 1/2 cup
  8. Pineapple chopped 1/2 cup
  9. Ripe Banana chopped 1/2 cup
  10. Ghee for frying 2 tbsp
  11. Pomegranate seeds 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat the 1/2 cup ghee, add the sooji and fry till golden brown and a nice aroma is felt
  2. Add the water and sugar. Boil.
  3. When still in runny consistency, add the chopped apples, pineapples and banana. Mix well.
  4. Once the halwa starts leaving the sides, turn off the gas/heat.
  5. In a small pan, heat the 2 tbsp of ghee. Add the cashews and fry till golden. Add the raisins and remove from heat
  6. Pour over the halwa. Add the pomegranate seeds. Mix well and serve.
