Ingredients to make Plain Salted Homemade Crispy Potato Chips

  • potatoes peeled and sliced 5 large
  • oil for frying
  • salt a tbsp
  • Ice cold water to soak the potato slices

How to make Plain Salted Homemade Crispy Potato Chips

  1. Soak the potato slices in ice cold water for 15 mins.
  2. After 15 mins, rinse them with normal water.
  3. Drain and keep them in the colander for the excess water to drip away fully.
  4. Deep fry these on medium to high flame and keep a constant vigil during this process.
  5. Also keep turning them to get fried evenly.
  6. Sprinkle some salt and toss well so that they get coated well with salt.
  7. Serve hot with any dip.

My Tip:

Only thing is to cut them into fine thin slices. I did not use any slicer for this, but you can very well use a slicer to get thin slices.

WOW Zee..you cut the chips in such beautiful fine slices....I always use a slicer as my slices are uneven otherwise... Fantastic recipe :thumbsup::thumbsup::relaxed::relaxed:
