ABOUT Healthy Ragi Porridge RECIPE

Tasty and healthy porridge.Good even in diabetes.Original recipe is of Ragi malt by Priya Srinivasan.I have modified it to make it easier, tastier and healthier.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. 4 Nutrichoice essential Ragi biscuits/ roasted ragi flour 1/4 cup
  2. Milk 1/2 cup
  3. Cashewnuts
  4. Magaj ke beej(melon seeds) 2 tbsp
  5. Sugar (to taste)
  6. Corn flakes 2 tbsp
  7. Grated coconut 2 tbsp
  8. Raisins to garnish

Instructions

  1. Grind ragi biscuits in a mixer in a powder
  2. Boil milk until it is warm
  3. Separately grind melon seeds/cashews,grated coconut, corn flakes (optional ),cardamom into a coarse powder.
  4. Add warm milk to ragi powder.Mix well.Now add the other powder. Now add milk such that you have a semi-solid thick paste like porridge
  5. Let it settle for 2 minutes
  6. Garnish with cashews or raisins
