Rabri is a popular dessert. I improvised on the dish and added fruits to give it a healthy twist

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Mixed fruits- 2 bowls (Apple,Grapes,Banana,Strawberry,Pineapple)
  2. Pomegranate -1/2 Bowl
  3. Milk - 1 litre
  4. Mawa 200 gms
  5. Sugar-250 gms
  6. Saffron 5-6 strands
  7. Cardamom powder-1/4 tsp
  8. Bread 7-8 slices
  9. Digestive biscuits 1 packet

Instructions

  1. Boil milk, add sugar, mawa, saffron and cardamom powder and allow to reduce till half or till the milk thickens and cools completely
  2. Add all the fruits in prepared milk and mix gently. Take a large bowl and arrange 2-3 bread slices soaked in milk. Now add a portion of fruits with prepared milk or to cover the bread slices completely.
  3. Sprinkle coarsely ground digestive biscuits to cover it. Add a portion of thickened milk with fruits and continue the process as mentioned above till the ingredients get over.
  4. Garnish with fruits and freeze for 1 hour to set
  5. Serve
