Spicy Oats & poha

Ingredients to make Spicy Oats & poha

  • 1 cup poha (thin beaten rice)
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1-2 Dry red chillies
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tbsp coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/4 tsp Black salt(kala namak)
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder(optional)
  • plain aloo bhujia 1 tbsp (optional)
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil

How to make Spicy Oats & poha

  1. Dry roast the poha in a kadhai till they are crispy, roast oats till they slightly change color.
  2. in same kadhai heat oil in a kadhai add peanuts & roast then Next add the curry leaves and chillies.
  3. Fry them till the curry leaves and chillies are crispy.
  4. add turmeric powder & red Chilli powder & coriander powder fry quickly for a few seconds till you get a nice aroma of the spices.
  5. Now add poha, oats, salt, black salt,black pepper powder & chaat masala.Mix till the poha is well coated with the spices.
  6. Cool and add aloo bhujia(optional) store in an airtight container.

My Tip:

adjust spice level as per own Tastebuds
