Red Bell Pepper and Coriander Chutney

Ingredients to make Red Bell Pepper and Coriander Chutney

  • 1 red bell pepper Large (red colored capsicum)
  • 4 - 5 green chillies
  • 2 tablespoons tamarind pulp
  • salt as per taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  • 1 teaspoon jaggery (optional)

How to make Red Bell Pepper and Coriander Chutney

  1. Heat a shallow pan. Add oil. Add chopped red bell pepper and chillies to it.
  2. Fry for few minutes, until the bell pepper become soft. Take bell peppers in a blender jar, add chopped coriander, salt, turmeric, tamarind pulp and grated jaggery.
  3. Blend for 2-3 minutes, to form a coarse chutney. If required add a little water. Ensure that the chutney is not too runny.
  4. Savor these with hot idlis, dosas or rice.

My Tip:

Use fresh corainder leaves to prepare this chutney.
