Ingredients to make Zero Oil Whole Pulses Pancakes

  • Whole pulses like moong, rajma, chole, brown channa 1/4 th cup each
  • salt taste wise
  • Chat masala 1.5 tsp
  • Ajwain seeds 1 tsp
  • onion 1 finely chopped
  • tomato 1 finely chopped
  • Green chilles 1-2 finely chopped
  • coriander leaves 2-3 tbsp chopped
  • water as required
  • oilve oil 1 tsp
  • sesame seeds or flax seeds or both 2-3 tbsp

How to make Zero Oil Whole Pulses Pancakes

  1. Take all the whole pulses and soak them over night. Next day boil them in pressure cooker for 10 min or until cooked. Cool and make a paste in the mixer grinder.
  2. Add all the chopped vegetables into it, add the salt and all the masalas. Add water to make a thick batter.
  3. Add one drop olive oil in a heated pan and take one ladle of this batter and spread it little, like you would do for uttapam. Let it cook on one side, should take 5 minutes on medium low flame. As one side is done, flip over and cook the other end, spread sesame seeds or flax seeds on the top. Team it with soup or salad and you have a full meal.
  4. About 7-8 pancakes can be made depending on the size
