Ingredients to make Achari bhune aloo

  • Baby potatoes - 15
  • oil - 1 tsp
  • amchur powder - 1/4 tsp
  • hing - 2 pinches
  • salt
  • For masala -
  • mustard - 1 tsp
  • fennel seeds - 1/2 Tsp
  • coriander seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • fenugreek seeds - 1/8 tsp
  • Dry red chillies - 5-6

How to make Achari bhune aloo

  1. Boil the potatoes till just cooked. Peel and keep aside.
  2. Roast the spices given under masala. Let it cool a bit, then grind to a coarse powder.
  3. Apply this ground masala to the potatoes along with salt, oil, hing and amchur powder. Leave for 30 mins.
  4. Roast the potatoes at 180 C in a preheated oven for 20-25 mins. Turn once at half time. Can be done on tawa as well.
  5. Serve hot.
