ABOUT Gol Paani (Jaggery water drink) RECIPE

A quintessential Bohra drink, this drink is preservative and cholesterol free and absolutely healthy due to it's ingredients.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Jaggery – 1 kg (small cubes or grated)
  2. Water – 1 litre or more
  3. Sabja seeds – 2 tablespoon
  4. Lime juice – 2-4 tablespoon
  5. Mint leaves – a few to garnish

Instructions

  1. Take a large steel pot, put in the jaggery cubes and cover with water. Let this sit for 4-6 hours till the jaggery melts, add more water as required to adjust the sweetness
  2. Before preparing the juice, soak the sabja seeds in 1/4 cup water and let it rise, once done these seeds will appear sticky.
  3. Add in the mint, lime juice and sabja seeds into the jaggery water. Give it a good stir and adjust taste before serving.
  4. Chill for a while and serve as a refreshing drink.

Actually basil seeds are called sabza n its very gud for the health of females.
