Ingredients to make Malai kofta in the microwave

  • For koftas-
  • 1 bowl boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 bowl grated paneer /cottage cheese
  • 1 table spoon all purpose flour
  • 1 table spoon chopped dates /cashews and raisins for filling
  • 1 tea spoon milk for mixing
  • Few chopped coriender leaves
  • 2 Chopped green chillies
  • Salt n garam masala to taste
  • For gravy-
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 2 tomatoes with pinch sugar
  • 1 table spoon grated ginger
  • 2 Dried red chillies
  • 1 table spoon scrapped coconut
  • 1 tea spoon chopped cashews
  • 1 tabke soon corn flour mix in 2 tabke spoon milk
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tea spoon coriander seeds
  • 1/2tea spoon jeera seeds
  • Pinch asafoetida
  • 1 tea spoon poppy seeds

How to make Malai kofta in the microwave

  1. For koftas-
  2. Mix all the ingredients, add milk if required and knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Divide into equal portions, take 1 portion fill dry fruit mixture and give it a round shape, make balls of remaining portions of the dough.
  4. Place all the balls in micro safe plate and micro it for 1minute, on high temperature
  5. For gravy-
  6. Make paste of onions with other ingredients, transfer it into a bowl, make paste of tomatoes with a pinch of sugar separately.
  7. Combine oil with onion paste in microwave safe bowl, micro it for 2 minutes on high temperature and take off heat.
  8. Add tomato puree and micro for 1 minute.
  9. Mix cornflour mixture and remaining milk into koftas, adjust water if required.I mixed 1/2bowl water. Micro it for 2minutes. Add koftas and again micro for 1 minute. Garnish it with Coriender leaves and grated cheese, along with nuts.

My Tip:

Add milk for mixing
