Chocolate Mirror Glaze

Ingredients to make Chocolate Mirror Glaze

  • 3tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 6tbsp powdered sugar
  • 3tbsp water
  • 1 1/4tbsp butter

How to make Chocolate Mirror Glaze

  1. Mix cocoa powder and powdered sugar..
  2. Heat water in microwave for 30 secs . Add in above mixture. Mix well. It should be a like thick sauce consistency.
  3. Add in butter and mix again.. Microwave again for around 30secs.. Mix well..
  4. There might be some bubbles in it.. Its ok.. Seive the mixture through a fine sieve.. Most of the bubbles disappear..
  5. When it is at room temperature pour it over plain cake or even frosted directly.. Let the excess drip..
  6. In the pictures you can see clear reflection of rose flower in the glaze..

My Tip:

The quantity of butter can be used a bit more but not less.. Butter is what gives the sauce a mirror effect.. Donot omit the sieving step.. It gives you a smooth glaze free of any clusters.. This gives a finnis to your glaze... Can store in refrigerator if not in use.. Warm up for 20secs again in microwave and then use when it comes to room temperature..
