Ingredients to make Tikki chaat

  • potatoes 1/2 kg
  • Refined flour 250 gms
  • chickpeas 1/2 kg
  • onion 4 ( big)
  • ginger- garlic paste 1 1/2 tspn
  • turmeric Powder
  • chilli powder
  • coriander Powder
  • tamarind 1/2 cup
  • curd 1 cup
  • Sev/ bhujia 100 gms
  • Garam masala powder
  • Chaat masala
  • coriander leaves
  • green chilly
  • salt
  • Black salt
  • oil

How to make Tikki chaat

  1. Boil potatoes and peel.
  2. Put oil and onion in a pan and saute . Add boiled & mashed potatoes and salt. mix well and cook till everything comes together and is dry enough.
  3. Let the mixture get cooled and then make small patties or tikkis out of it, shallow fry them in a pan with little oil.
  4. Take oil in pressure cooker. Add onion and saute till golden brown. Now add ginger- garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder ,salt and chaat masala into it.
  5. Add soaked chickpeas to the masala with adequate amount of water and pressure cook them.
  6. Make puri/ papdi with the refined flour.
  7. Now in a serving plate/ bowl take papris, put chole and tikkis upon it. Now add beaten curd , a pinch of chilli powder, black salt, tamarind ,chaat masala, sev/ bhujia, green chilli and coriander leaves.
