Mushroom masala

Ingredients to make Mushroom masala

  • 300 gms Mushrooms
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp chilli powder
  • 3-4 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander For garnishing
  • Spices to roast & grind
  • 1 small piece cinnamon
  • 1green cardamom
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 small bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp jeera
  • Small piece of stone flower/ daagar ka phool
  • 12 cashews
  • 3 tbsp dessicated coconut/ fresh one
  • 1 tsp oil

How to make Mushroom masala

  1. Saute all the ingredients. (Except coconut n cashews) till you feel nice aroma Of spices
  2. Dont over fry,it will taste bitter
  3. Grind sauted spices ,coconut &cashews to a smooth paste
  4. In a kadai heat oil,saute onions till it turns translucent
  5. Now add chopped tomatoes n cook tillit turn mushy
  6. Now add ginger garlic paste, masala paste,chilli powder, turmeric powder &salt
  7. Saute it till oil separates
  8. Now add mushrooms n saute for 3-5 minutes
  9. Now add 1/2 cup water n simmer it for 5 minutes
  10. Garnish with chopped coriander
  11. Serve with parathas ,rice,dosa
