Ingredients to make Stuffed Shimala Mirch with potatoes ( Capsicum/ green bell peppers )

  • 4 Shimala mirch ( medium size )
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • For the stuffing --
  • 5 medium sized boiled potatoes
  • 1 onion cut in small pieces
  • 1 tsp adrak ( ginger ) paste
  • 1 tsp lasan ( garlic ) paste
  • 1 tsp Panch Foron
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp amchoor (dry mango powder )
  • 1 tsp Jeera powder (cumin seeds powder )
  • 1 tsp saunf powder (fennel seeds powder )

How to make Stuffed Shimala Mirch with potatoes ( Capsicum/ green bell peppers )

  1. To prepare potato stuffing
  2. ---Add oil to non stick pan
  3. --Add Panch Forna .When crackling add onions till golden brown
  4. --Add ginger and garlic paste. Cook for a minute.
  5. --Crumble potatoes with hand and add to above. Cook for 3 mns till brown
  6. The stuffing is ready . Remove from pan and let it cool
  7. Cut the top of Capsicums and fill each with potato mixture
  8. Cook in the same frying pan for 2 mns ( don't cover ) OR. Cook in microwave for 1 mn.
My Tip: Panch Foron is available in the market ( it is a mixture of 5 spices - cumin seeds. Nigella seeds,fennel seeds ,mustard and fenugreek seeds )
