Ingredients to make Baked dahi vadas

  • For Vadas
  • 1/2 cup urad dal
  • 1-2 green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp unflavored eno salt
  • 2 cup buttermilk
  • salt to taste
  • oil for greasing
  • For curd
  • 2 cups curd
  • black salt to taste
  • FOR GARNISH
  • Roasted jeera powder 2 tspn
  • 1/2 tspn red chilli powder
  • 2-3 tspn sweet imli and saunth chutney
  • black salt to taste
  • 2-3 spoon anar dana
  • 4-5 tspn aloo bhujia or bhujia
  • 1/2 tspn coriander leaves

How to make Baked dahi vadas

  1. Soak urad dal for 2 hours in warm water
  2. Now grind soaked dal and green chillies into fine paste
  3. Mix eno salt
  4. Now put this mix into greased micro safe bowls or idli stand
  5. Microwave it for 3 mins
  6. Allow it to cool and then unmould it
  7. Bake 4 at a time
  8. Now put them in butter milk mix for few mins or until they soak the salted butter milk
  9. Squeeze extra buttermilk out and put them on serving plate
  10. Put fresh curd .on vadas now garnish with red chilli powder black salt, jeera powder and imli chutney,
  11. Now sprinkle some aloo bhujia , anardana and green coriander leaves.
  12. Serve chilled

My Tip:

Mix eno salt very neatly and lightly .I soaked vadas in buttermilk for 1 1/2 hr .it gave good and spongy one. U can use kishmis in place of anardana also
