METHI WALI MAKKI KI ROTI

Ingredients to make METHI WALI MAKKI KI ROTI

  • makki ka atta - 2 cup
  • Chopped fresh methi- 4 tbsp
  • Chopped onion - 2 tbsp
  • Chopped green chilli - 1
  • Dry coriander seeds (Sabut dhaniya) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • anardana powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Carom seeds (Ajwain) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Luke warm water
  • oil

How to make METHI WALI MAKKI KI ROTI

  1. Seive makki ka Atta in a large bowl.
  2. Add chopped Methi,chopped onions,green chilli ,salt to taste, anardana powder, sabut dhaniya, ajwain. Add luke warm water in little amount and knead it to make a soft dough like parantha.
  3. Divide dough in 4 equal portions and make a round ball with the help of palms.
  4. Put plastic sheet on the rolling board and put one ball over it and cover it with plastic sheet again. Then tap with your palm and flatten it.
  5. Remove plastic sheet from upper side and transfer roti over your palm by turning it upside down. Now remove plastic sheet from top also.
  6. Place the rolled roti over medium heated tawa. Cook both sides with the help of oil till both sides gets golden brown.
  7. Put butter on the top and serve hot with Sarson ka Saag.

My Tip:

1. Do not keep dough for long. Knead at the time of making rotis. 2. You can flatten roti with a help of rolling pin also
