ABOUT Gajar ka Halwa (Gajrela) RECIPE

A very sweet and deicious dessert specially loved in winters. It can easily be made in microwave also.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Carrots - 1 kg
  2. Powdered Sugar - 1 and 1/2 cup
  3. Milk - 2 cup
  4. Dry fruits (as desired) - 1/2 cup plus few more for garnishing.
  5. Khoya - 1/2 cup ( or according To taste)
  6. Melon seeds. - 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Grate the carrots in your food processor..
  2. Take a borosil bowl and put the grated carrots and milk and mix it. microwave it on full for first 7 minutes.
  3. Then after the process add sugar in it. And again microwave it for another 10 minutes.
  4. After 10 minutes , stir it with spatula and add khoya, chopped dry fruits and melon seeds to it. And microwave it for another 15 minutes.
  5. After the process is completed check if the liquid is completely dried up or not. If not then microwave for few more minutes as required.
  6. It took me another 8 minutes more to make the perfect one.
  7. The yummy and quick gajar ka halwa is ready .
  8. Garnish it with some dry fruits on top and serve it hot.
