Ingredients to make Light White Sauces.( Taste and health together ).

  • For white sauce no. 1
  • Wheat flour 2 tsp
  • Skim milk 2 cups.
  • Butter / clarified butter 1 tsp
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Garlic crushed 1 tsp
  • Dried herbs. 1 tsp
  • For white sauce no. 2
  • Cauliflower Florets boiled 2 cups
  • Wheat flour 2 tsp
  • Butter/ clarified butter 1 tsp
  • Garlic crushed 1 tsp
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Dried herbs.

How to make Light White Sauces.( Taste and health together ).

  1. First method
  2. Dry roast wheat flour in a nonstick pan on slow to medium flame till you get nice aroma . Keep aside for cooling.
  3. Blend with skim milk.
  4. Heat butter/ ghee ( clarified butter ) in nonstick pan. Add blended mix to the pan and cook till you get the desired consistancy of your white sauce.
  5. Add salt and pepper. Add dried herbs according to requirement of your recepie.
  6. For 2 nd method.
  7. Blend steamed cauliflower with water.
  8. Heat butter / clarified butter in a nonstick pan, add wheat flour and roast on a medium flame .
  9. Add blended cauliflower mix and cook to desired consistancy.
  10. Add salt and pepper. Add herbs according to requirement of your recepie.
  11. So both your white sauces are ready.
  12. You can add grated home made Cottage Cheese in replacement of Cheese.
  13. Serve with addition of your favourite paste or veges as desired.

My Tip:

You can add half water half skim milk in white sauce made of cauliflower.
