Mutton Chops Masala

Ingredients to make Mutton Chops Masala

  • Tender lamb chops 10 -12
  • 1 large or 2 medium onions finely chopped
  • ginger Garlic paste 2-3 tsp
  • Whole spices peppercorn 4-5
  • Cloves 4-5, dalchini 1" green cardamom 4-5, Black Cardamom(badi ilaychi) 2-3
  • dhania and jeera powered 2 tsp each
  • Everest mutton masala powder 2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 2tsp
  • chilli powder 2-3tsp. (According to taste)
  • curd 1 cup
  • tomatoes 2-3 chopping
  • potatoes 1-2 medium cubed
  • salt to taste
  • coriander leaves for garnish

How to make Mutton Chops Masala

  1. Marinate lamb pieces with curd ginger garlic paste and turmeric powder for 30 min .Heat oil in a pressure cooker(2-3tbsp)
  2. Add whole spices and fry for 1min. Saute onions till golden brown . Add the ginger garlic paste & Saute for 1 minute .
  3. Add all powders and saute for 1 minute . Add curd and saute till oil separates. Add lamb pieces and saute till it changes colour Add enough water and pressure cook for 15-20 mln on low flame
  4. After mutton is cooked transfer it to Kadhai . Add tomatoes potatoes and salt. Simmer on low flame till the water evaporates and curry thickens
  5. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
