Garlic Rice

Ingredients to make Garlic Rice

  • Cooked rice - 1 cup
  • For Tempering:
  • coconut oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • garlic pods - 4 to 5 (crushed)
  • red chilli powder - 1 to 2 tsp
  • Handful of curry leaves

How to make Garlic Rice

  1. Heat 2 to 3 spoons of coconut oil and add in the crushed garlic .Saute till it is golden in colour. Add a handful of curry leaves and mix well .
  2. Switch off the flame, add in salt and red chilli powder to taste followed by the cooked rice .
  3. Toss these ingredients well together. Do a taste test and adjust the spices.
  4. Our garlic rice is ready to be served.

My Tip:

I strongly recommend to use coconut oil and a handful or more of curry leaves for a nice aroma and flavour.
