Red chilli chutney

Ingredients to make Red chilli chutney

  • Fresh red chilli 250 gm
  • garlic 20 cloves
  • coriander 1/2 cup [chopped]
  • jaggery 1 tbsp (optional)
  • salt to taste
  • tamarind paste 1tsp
  • For tempering:
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • asafoetida 1/4 tsp
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

How to make Red chilli chutney

  1. Wash red chillies and clean them with a dry cloth. Roughly chop red chillies and remove seeds as much is possible.
  2. Take mixer jar and put chopped chillies, garlic, tamarind, jaggery and chopped coriander and grind them without adding water.
  3. Take a pan heat oil and then add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and asafoetida , then add the chilli paste to the pan and cook .
  4. Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt and keep stirring in between.
  5. Cook till the moisture get absorb.
  6. Cool and store it in a air tight jar.
