Bajra dhokla

Ingredients to make Bajra dhokla

  • bajra flour 1 cup
  • semolina 1/4 cup
  • tamarind 20 gms
  • jaggery 50 gms
  • water 1/2 cup
  • Finely chopped veggies 1/2 cup
  • ginger and chilli paste 1 tesp
  • salt 1 tesp
  • Chopped green coriander 1 tbsp
  • Eno salt 1 tesp
  • For tempring: :
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • mustard seeds 1 tesp
  • curry leaves

How to make Bajra dhokla

  1. Soak tamarind and jaggery in half cup of water for an hour.
  2. Strain tamarind and jaggery dissolved water well.
  3. Mix bajra flour and semolina in strained water. It should be a thick batter like dhokla batter.
  4. Add finely chopped mix veggies ( carrot, capsicum, beans), ginger chilli paste, salt, green coriander to the batter.
  5. Prepare dhokla steamer.
  6. Add eno salt to the batter and pour the batter in a greased mould.
  7. Steam for 10 minutes.
  8. Prepare tempring. Heat oil.
  9. Crackle mustard seeds.
  10. Add curry leaves and pour the tempring over dhokla.
