Ingredients to make Whole wheat and Jowar orange marmalade cake

  • jowar flour 1/2 cup
  • Wheat flour 1/2 cup
  • Orange marmalade 1/4 cup
  • water 1/4 cup
  • Orange zest 1 teaspoon
  • Candied orange 1/8 cup
  • Baking powder 1 and 1/2 teaspoon
  • baking soda 1/4 teaspoon
  • eggs 2
  • Organic raw sugar 3/4 cup
  • oil 1/4 cup
  • salt a pinch

How to make Whole wheat and Jowar orange marmalade cake

  1. Sieve the flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt for 5-6 times.
  2. Mix the orange marmalade in hot water and keep aside and use when it's warm.
  3. Beat the eggs for 5 minutes till it's double in volume.
  4. Add sugar and beat for another 5 minutes till light and fluffy.
  5. Add Orange zest, marmalade and water mixture and mix well.
  6. Add oil, mix.
  7. Add the flour mixture slowly and mix well until it's properly incorporated. Don't over mix.
  8. Add candied orange segments and mix.
  9. Pour it into a greased baking dish. On the top put rest of the candied oranges.
  10. Bake in a pre heated oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.

My Tip:
