Corn Lollipops

Ingredients to make Corn Lollipops

  • Sweet corn 1 & 1/2 cup
  • Boiled potato 2
  • Ginger Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  • Green chili 2-3
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Lemon juice 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin seeds (Jeera) 1/2 tsp
  • Cilantro (Coriander leaves) 4 tsp
  • Semolina (Sooji) 3 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1/4 tsp
  • Sugar 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Bread crumbs/Toast crumbs 1/2 cup
  • oil

How to make Corn Lollipops

  1. In a food processor, add sweet corn, cumin seeds and green chili. Grind coarsely, do not make a paste. Boil and mash potatoes.
  2. In a mixing bowl add corn mixture, mashed potatoes, semolina, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, sugar and salt; mix well.
  3. Add bread/toast crumbs, cilantro and mix well.
  4. Grease your palm with little oil and make patties in round, oval or any desired shape.
  5. Gently coat both sides with the bread crumbs. Repeat same procedure with other patties.
  6. Heat oil in a kadai. Deep fry corn patties over medium flame till golden brown color. Drain it on a kitchen paper towel.
  7. Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.
My Tip: You can also toast these on a non -stick pan instead of deep frying.
