Ingredients to make Mixed Fruit Jam Tutti Fruitti Cake

  • Maida/all purpose flour - 1 cup
  • Tutti Fruitti - ¼ cup
  • Mixed Fruit Jam - 100 gms approx
  • butter - 50 gms room temperature
  • sugar - ¼ cup (you can increase to ½ cup depends upon the sweetness of the jam)
  • curd - 3 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - ¼ tsp
  • Vanilla Essence - ½ tsp
  • Milk - ⅓ cup (80 ml)

How to make Mixed Fruit Jam Tutti Fruitti Cake

  1. In a mixing bowl add the sugar and curd and stir till sugar dissolves completely and smooth.
  2. Add the vanilla essence, milk, butter and stir them well.
  3. In a separate bowl take the jam and make it smooth. Keep aside.
  4. In a small bowl take some flour, add the tutti fruitti and mix well. This is to prevent them from floating at the bottom.
  5. Sieve the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add them to the wet ingredients.
  6. Mix gently to make a smooth batter.
  7. Add the tutti fruitti and stir gently.
  8. Pour the jam and give a quick stir. Do not over stir the batter. Sprinkle some tutti fruitti on the top.
  9. Preheat the oven to 180° C for 10 mins.
  10. Grease the cake pan. Pour the batter into it. Bake the cake for 40 mins. Start checking from 35 mins. A tooth pick inserted should come out clean.
  11. Remove from the oven, let it cool down completely, invert, cut and serve.
