ABOUT Rawa idli RECIPE

A light ,easily digestible dish to be give to kids for a nutritious and yummy breakfast.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rawa [semolina] 1.5 cups
  2. Dhuli urad dal 1/2 cup
  3. Oil to smear
  4. Salt 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the rawa and dal separately.
  2. After 3-4 hours grind the dal into a fine paste using less water.
  3. Drain the water from the rawa as much as possible.
  4. Mix the dal and the rawa.
  5. Add salt .
  6. Keep to ferment for 4-5 hours
  7. Pour the idli batter into the greased idli moulds and steam them using an idli cooker for 10-12 minutes. demould and serve.
  8. Serve with sambar and chutney
