Ingredients to make Instant Milk Powder Mawa

  • Milk powder a cup (measuring cup)
  • butter 1 tbsp
  • Milk 1/4 th cup
  • Whipping cream or fresh cream 1/4 th cup (optional)

How to make Instant Milk Powder Mawa

  1. Heat a non stick pan. Add the milk and the whipping cream. Add the butter also.
  2. Keep stirring it and keep the flame low to medium only.
  3. After the milk comes to a boil, add the milk powder.
  4. Keep stirring it. It will slowly atart solidifying. It comes around like a mass.
  5. Keep mixing it well and see to it that there are no lumps. It should be a clear lump free solid mass.
  6. Let it cool down. Use it in your favourite sweet preparations. Fresh and homemade mawa is ready in no time.
  7. You can increase the flame to high but keep mixing continuously, otherwise it will start browning. It is better to keep the flame low to medium only.

My Tip:

If you do not want to use whipping cream or fresh cream, it is absolutely fine. You can very well make it without it. But just remember to add a tbsp of extra butter in that case. As simple as that. Also you can store this in the refrigerator for upto four days. But i suggest you make this fresh just a day before your sweet preparations, it will be a better thing to do. It's an instant one and doesn't take much of your time too.
