Ingredients to make BOURBON BEARS

  • Plain flour-200 gram
  • Golden syrup-1 table spoon
  • Cocoa powder-50 gram
  • Unsalted butter-100 gram
  • Milk-2 table spoon
  • Caster sugar- 150 gram
  • baking soda-1 tea spoon
  • butter-50 gram
  • Milk chocolate-50 gram
  • Icing sugar-25 gram

How to make BOURBON BEARS

  1. Sieve plain flour, baking soda and cocoa powder.
  2. Add caster sugar to it.
  3. Add butter at room temperature and rub it into the sieved mixture.
  4. Add golden syrup and mix well.
  5. Add milk little by little just to get the dough together.
  6. Refrigerate the dough for 20-30 minutes.
  7. Roll the dough ¼ centimetre thickness.
  8. Cut the cookie using a teddy bear shape cookie cutter.
  9. Preheat the oven at 180 degree centigrade.
  10. Line a baking tray with a butter paper and place the cookies on it.
  11. Bake the cookies for 18 minutes at 180 degree centigrade.
  12. Remove the cookies after the mentioned time.
  13. When the cookies are just warm, sprinkle sugar crystals over the cookies to give it the classic bourbon appeal.
  14. Cream the butter and icing sugar.
  15. Melt the grated chocolate by double boiling method.
  16. When the chocolate is cooled, add it to the butter and icing sugar mixture and mix well.
  17. Refrigerate it for some time.
  18. Shift it into a piping bag.
  19. Pipe it little into the cookies.
  20. Sandwich the cream between two cookies.
